Prime Minister Anthony Albanese accepted a recommendation from the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation, the domestic spy agency, to lift the country’s alert level to its third-highest level out of five. That means authorities believe there is a greater than 50% chance of an attack on home soil or one being planned over the next 12 months.
