Many years of zero-interest-rate policy (ZIRP), quantitative easing (QE) and bailouts haven’t benefited most Americans, other than those at the very top of the economic ladder. Many financially conservative retirees are still bitter that the financial repression of ZIRP, which they endured for many years, resulted mainly in economic benefits for the wealthy in the form of inflated asset prices.
