And yet, for a recent balmy Wednesday evening game against the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Coliseum was all but deserted. On the ramp connecting the stadium to the commuter train, rather than a gauntlet of vendors hawking food and team gear, there was just one, with a small table of T-shirts and caps. A single row of food stands inside the park was open.
