Directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg and produced by 20th Century Studios, Swiped is a coming-of-age story set to an on-the-nose 2010s soundtrack (think Get Lucky). It opens with James’ ambitious 23-year-old Wolfe Herd meeting eventual Tinder co-founder Sean Rad (Ben Schnetzer) and joining his company Cardify. When Rad introduces the groundbreaking dating app, she’s the brains of the operation, getting it into the hands of college kids who amplify its popularity. Rad names her co-founder but refuses to tout her contributions, embarrassed by having a woman on the leadership team.
