Bugonia, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Favourite) and out in limited release on Oct. 24, is a distinctly 2025 project despite being an adaptation of the 2003 South Korean cult classic Save the Green Planet! It joins a host of recent and coming movies that feed on the ideas of conspiracy and paranoia that have engulfed global culture in the past five years.
