Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel had just returned to the air last week when a group of Walt Disney Co. shareholders wrote a letter to Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger, demanding internal company records related to the decision to suspend his show by the ABC network. The shareholders—including the American Federation of Teachers and the AFL-CIO—said they suspected that Disney leadership “may have breached their fiduciary duties of loyalty, care, and good faith by placing improper political or affiliate considerations above the best interests of the Company and its stockholders” by responding to Trump administration threats.
