This is a moment that many have been dreading since the president returned to office. Anti-ICE protests in Minneapolis, as in other cities, have been almost entirely peaceful, with only a few isolated clashes between protesters and agents. ICE agents have clear instructions not to use excessive force, with some legal protection if actions are proportionate. Yet there are numerous videos and on-the-scene accounts of agents using much more force than seems necessary, against both protesters and those being taken into custody.
