“The world is harsh,” Blazy explained backstage. “I wanted this show to be a break. Something that makes you dream.” His collection took flight from a Japanese haiku about a bird and a toadstool, opening with a series of boxy suit looks that were breathtaking in their airy lightness. Made out of translucent mousseline and with hems weighted down with tiny pearl encrusted chains, each look (and those thereafter) had personalised embroideries in their linings requested by the models; little secrets between a wearer and their maker that underscored the intimate luxury of clothes made just for you.
