Slepian:People in a great range of jobs are trusted with sensitive information at work. It isn’t only CIA agents, lawyers, and doctors. Employees frequently must maintain confidentiality about clients, products, jobs, and more. For the purposes of our research, we defined organizational secrets as information about a workplace practice or activity that an employee is prohibited from sharing with outsiders or insiders or both.
