What if Oz is in fact quite close to Kansas? The thought occurred to me this past weekend while attending, a two-hour drive east of the state line, the 23rd True/False Film Fest. For four days each year, it transforms this college town in the middle of Missouri into a fantasy land for lovers of nonfiction cinema, the art form this festival was founded to champion.
