Mr. Styles’s 2022 LP, “Harry’s House,” narrowed those expectations. Though it was named after a song by Ms. Mitchell from her adventurous mid-’70s period, he seemed to be playing it safe, sticking mostly to slick and radio-friendly pop inflected with R&B. While his fourth album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” (Erskine/Columbia), out now, offers a few variations on the sound of its predecessor, it might be his dullest studio collection yet.
