Electoral authorities said on Wednesday that Nasry Asfura, 67, the candidate of the conservative National Party, won the Nov. 30 election with 40.3% of the vote. Asfura, known as “Tito,” edged out conservative rival Salvador Nasralla, a 72-year-old sports journalist and media personality of the Liberal Party, who got 39.5% of the vote.
