‘What We Did Before Our Moth Days’ Review: Wallace Shawn’s Misbegotten Monologues

Probably best not to clarify the enigmatic title of Wallace Shawn’s new play, “What We Did Before Our Moth Days,” particularly because there is surprisingly little else in it that is mysterious, or, for that matter, of striking interest. What is a “moth day”? Maybe I will borrow from Mr. Shawn, an otherwise often-cryptic playwright, and just say that it’s not a synonym for birthday.
